Anelka tempted by Chelsea switch

Anelka joined Bolton in 2006 from Turkish side Fenerbache
Bolton striker Nicolas Anelka has said he would be interested in a move to Chelsea in the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old Frenchman admitted that the two clubs are in talks over a possible transfer, but nothing has been agreed yet.

He told French newspaper L'Equipe: "The chairmen (of Bolton and Chelsea) are discussing it.

"I really hope it happens - and especially that I am eligible to play in the Champions League."

He added: "But until the contract is signed and I am presented to the press in my new shirt, nothing is done."

We will just keep going and try to deal with the speculation that surrounds him

Anelka, who joined Bolton from Fenerbahce in August 2006, has been continually linked with a move away from the Reebok Stadium and has not ruled out a return to former club Manchester City who he left in 2005.

"I want to go to a bigger club and that's what City have become under a manager such as Sven-Goran Eriksson, who I was ready to join in 1999 at Lazio," he said.

"But staying at Bolton, where I am very happy, wouldn't be a punishment either."

Anelka signed a new four-year deal to stay at Bolton in August and is the club's leading scorer this season with 11 goals.

But his agent Doug Pingsi has said that Wanderers' record signing deserves to be playing at the highest level.

"Nico is ready to join a club at the height of his talent and his football," he said.

"I would love to see him sing the Champions League anthem every year."

Speaking after Bolton's 1-0 win over Derby on Wednesday, manager Gary Megson said: "In terms of Chelsea making contact I am not aware of that or any other club making contact.

"I am aware of the speculation and have seen the article. But Nic did say if nothing happens he is happy at Bolton.

"It is something and nothing. We will just keep going and try to deal with the speculation that surrounds him."

Anelka completes £15m move to Chelsea

Chelsea have completed the £15million signing of Nicolas Anelka from Bolton.

The London club had an earlier bid for the 28-year-old Frenchman rejected but returned with an increased offer.

Blues boss Avram Grant said after Chelsea's Carling Cup semi-final first leg win over Everton on Tuesday that he hoped to clinch a deal in time for Saturday's Premier League clash with Tottenham.

Chelsea are without Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou, who are away at the African Cup of Nations, while Andriy Shevchenko has an ankle injury.

On Thursday Anelka's advisor Doug Pingisi said the striker was keen on a move to Chelsea.

It is believed a bid in the region of £11million was rejected on Monday.

'He really wants to go to Chelsea,' Pingisi said in French daily L'Equipe.

'Nicolas is calm. He hopes that everything will be finalised this week.

'He has been waiting for such an opportunity for years. He appreciates the fact that he is at the top of the list of players wanted by Chelsea at the moment.

'For Nico, it is very important he finds a club that will allow him to express himself at the highest level.

'Moreover, this club is still involved in every competition, particularly the Champions League.'

Anelka's first English club was Chelsea's rivals Arsenal, who he signed for in 1997 from Paris St Germain for £500,000.

After moving to Real Madrid and then back to Paris St Germain, he returned to England in 2001, signing on loan at Liverpool. The Anfield side decided not to sign him permanently and he moved to Manchester City a year later. In 2005 he joined Fenerbache and 12 months later joined Bolton in a club record £8 million deal.

Club Career
Anelka started out at Paris Saint-Germain as a youth player but in November 1996, at the age of 17, he joined Arsenal for a fee of £500,000, soon after the appointment of Arsène Wenger as manager. His first team opportunities were limited in the 1996-97 season but in 1997-98 he broke into the first team (especially after a long-term injury to Ian Wright) and was a key player in Arsenal's Premiership and FA Cup double success that season. Anelka scored the second goal in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Newcastle United in that season's FA Cup final.

A player with exceptional pace and finishing ability, in 1998-99 he won the PFA Young Player of the Year Award, but Arsenal failed to defend their Premiership title and made little progress in the UEFA Champions League. In addition, Anelka made it clear he wanted a better salary than the one Arsenal were offering him. Rumors of his older brothers (who doubled as his agents) galvanizing his career decisions also emerged as the star was renowned for his temperaments with his clubs, forcing him to be left with the unenviable nickname of the 'Incredible Sulk'. He was eventually transferred to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer of 1999, for £22.3m. In all he made 90 appearances for Arsenal (including 17 as a substitute), scoring 28 goals and establishing himself as a top class striker.

Anelka spent just one season at Real Madrid, and played in the side that won the European Cup final, beating Valencia 3-0. However, his form was remarkably worse than it had been at Arsenal – scoring only four goals in 29 appearances – and his inability to mix with his teammates (with the exception of good friend Steve McManaman) as well as to cope with media attention led to him leaving in the summer of 2000, to begin his second spell at Paris St-Germain.

After one season at Paris St-Germain, Anelka returned to the English Premiership, signing a one-year loan deal with Liverpool. But he failed to hold down a regular first team place and manager Gerard Houllier decided not to offer him a permanent deal after the end of the season. Instead he opted to join newly promoted Manchester City and the £12 million fee paid by manager Kevin Keegan was a club record.

In his three seasons at Manchester City, although scoring freely, the addition of Anelka to the club's squad hardly made a drastic difference to its playing fortunes. They finished ninth in 2002-03, 16th in 2003-04 and midway through the 2004-05 season they were looking set for a mid-table finish at best. There was increasing speculation as to whether Anelka was going to be transferred to a bigger club.

On January 27, 2005, the speculation ended when Manchester City announced that it had agreed to a fee for Anelka's transfer to Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe, Anelka helped the Turkish club win the league title in 2005. In August of that same year there was considerable speculation in the press that Anelka was being courted by Newcastle United for a return to English football although the transfer never came about. Anelka stayed on at the Turkish club where he played with them in the UEFA Champions League, but they finished bottom of their group. They also fell short in the title race in 2006 as rivals Galatasaray won the title on the season's final day.

During the summer transfer window of 2006 press reports have once again linked Anelka with a return to English football. Harry Redknapp the manager of Portsmouth FC is allegedly willing to either pay £8.2 million to bring the striker to Fratton Park, or take him on a season long loan and reports continue to surface about a possible move to Bolton Wanderers.

Bursan anladigim aslinda FB yonetiminin (eger Premier ligin DIGITURK'u) Skysportsun yazdiklari bu bilgiler dogru ise) aslinda transfer doneminde aldiklari bu teklifi iyi degerlendiremedikleri.5,35 M Pounda almislar ancak 1 sene sonra 8,2 M Poundu kabul etmemisler.Eger oyuncuya odedikleri ucret problemse adam zaten toplamda attigi 14 golle bu parayi oyle yada boyle geri odemis + forma satislari ve dunya medyasinda getirdikleri ses te cabasi.

Heinz'i bize maliyeti ve basimiza gelenler bu olaya no match yani.

Ben ciddi sekilde sezon sonunda Chelsea'nin RONALDINHO'yu alacagina inaniyorum.
