Mourinho is hoping to be back in management before next season
Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is in Italy holding discussions with Inter Milan about becoming the club's coach.

"It's true they are in Italy and will return to Lisbon on Saturday," said Mourinho's personal advisor Eladio Parames late on Friday.

Mourinho, 44, has been linked with a host of European clubs since he left Chelsea in September last year.

"Of course, it was Inter who contacted Mourinho and his agent, not Mourinho contacting them," added Parames.

"He (Mourinho) always showed interest in working in Italy, and he received the contact with pleasure."

Inter coach Robert Mancini, 43, announced he was planning to quit the Serie A champions following his side's defeat by Liverpool in the last 16 of the Champions League earlier in March.

But Mancini quickly backtracked and stated his desire to stay the following day.

Mancini, who has been in charge of Inter since 2004, has another four years on his contract.

Inter have won the last two Serie A titles and this season are four points clear with eight games left to play.

Eziklik de denilebilir, rezalet... Dünyada örnekleri var diyen çıkar belki ama GS-FB arasındaki rekabet tarihi sosyal ayrılıklardan gelmediği için bence sadece eziklikten, el şeyiyle gerdeğe girmekten başka bişey değil. Böyle saçmalıklarla iyice kaybettiğimizi, rakibimizi yücelttiğimizi, onlara sempati kendimize antipati kazandırdığımızı anlamıyorlar. Aptal maçlarda öndeyken FB küfrederek neşesini bulan mantalite ben bildim bileli FB maçlarında takımı stresten adını unutacak vaziyete getirmiştir.

Sabiha Gokcen e sabahin korunde Chelsea yi karsilamaga gitmek eziklik otesi bir durum. Bunun pek izahi yok, doktor degilim ama tedavisi de pek mumkun gorunmuyor. Allah islah etsin.

Bu arada maç kadrosuna alınmayan Nonda'yı sanki süresiz kadro dışı kalmış gibi haber yapmışlardı, şimdi de "affediliyor" diye yazmışlar.

Basının akbaba gibi açık kolladığı açık bulamadığı zamanlarda yalan haber ürettiği, olayları çarpıttığı bir ortamda yönetim "Seneye kendisi takımın başında olmayacak" diye açıklama yapmak yerine Feldkamp'a tam destek verip arkasında durmalıydı. Chelsea's Frank Lampard returns to the squad after overcoming a stomach upset.

Goalkeeper Petr Cech is still out with an ankle injury but Didier Drogba has shaken off a knock that he picked up in Sunday's 1-0 win over Middlesbrough.

If Roberto Carlos is left on the bench, Fenerbahce will instead look to midfielder Ugur Boral to make his trademark surging runs down the flank.

Coach Zico will be looking to build an advantage at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium to take to Stamford Bridge for the second leg.

The Turkish champions are unbeaten in their last 11 European games at home, with Inter Milan, PSV Eindhoven and Sevilla among those to have come unstuck in Istanbul this season.

Fernerbahce sit top of the Turkish Super Lig by two points after beating city rivals Besiktas on Saturday and remain favourites to defend their title with 19 wins from 28 games.

They have won their last four league matches and stunned Sevilla in the last 16 of the Champions League, winning 3-2 in Spain before eventually progressing on penalties.

Chelsea have the best defensive record in the Champions League this season, with only two goals conceded in eight matches and none in the last six.

Since losing to Barnsley on 8 March, Avram Grant's side have won four of their last five Premier League games, only dropping points in a draw with Tottenham.

Anelka wants to win a second Champions League winners' medal

Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka says his current team are as good as the Real Madrid side he won the Champions League with back in 2000.

Anelka, who is likely to start against Fenerbahce in Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg, said Chelsea can win the whole tournament.

"Like Real, Chelsea are a big club with a big, big squad," said Anelka.

"We have the quality to win the trophy because of the way we play and the number of big players we have."

Anelka was just 21 when he starred alongside the likes of Raul and Fernando Morientes in Real's 3-0 win over Valencia in the 2000 Champions League final.

The much-travelled striker, who has also had spells with Arsenal, Pars St-Germain, Liverpool, Manchester City and Bolton, spent 18 months with Fenerbahce after joining them in January 2005.

The Turkish champions are unbeaten in their last 11 European games at home, with Inter Milan, PSV Eindhoven and Sevilla among the teams to have come unstuck in Istanbul this season.

And Anelka has warned his Chelsea team-mates they will face a difficult test in the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.

"We have to stay focused and make sure we play our game, because the atmosphere will be huge and we have to cope with it," he added.

"We have to come back with a draw or a win."

Fenerbahce are coached by legendary Brazil midfielder Zico, and his influence has been clear with his side reaching the last eight of the competition for the first time in their history.

"My philosophies as a player and as a coach are the same - they have not changed," said Zico.

"As a coach you want goals, you want nice clean football and fair play. You want attractive football.

"Our characteristic is to attack and look for goals.

"We fully respect our opponents but we believe that we deserve to be at this stage and we are ready."

Chelsea's run to the quarter-finals has been built on the back of six consecutive clean sheets.

"We try all the time to combine entertaining football and defence but you cannot do it all the time - in the Champions League it's more important to qualify," said Chelsea boss Avram Grant.

"If you play good football you have a better chance to qualify.

"So we will try to do both but the most important thing after these two game is to be in the semi-finals.

"They play good football but we believe in our strength to win, even if we know it will be two tough games."
