But with reports suggesting that Bolton’s number one could be on his way when his contract ends in the summer, the news that understudy Al-Habsi may also leave will not be welcome at the relegation-battling Bolton.
Al-Habsi could take advantage of FIFA’s article 17 which enables a player to buy out the remainder of his contract.
“Obviously a club of Galatasaray's size would interest Ali,” Habsi’s agent, Peter Harrison told Setanta Sports.
“He has got one year left, but this article 17 means he would be able to go for about £300,000. But there are no contract talks with Bolton Wanderers so Ali wants to push on.
“No disrespect to Bolton but if a club like Galatasaray is interested then Ali would certainly be interested.”
