..................Kahn

Ismael Abardonado Delpierre

..................Tinga

Russ Skela Misimovic Dabrowski

..........Auer Podolski

Goalkeeper:

(1) Oliver Kahn (Bayern Munich)

After a fine performance last weekend against Leverkusen, Oliver Kahn was one of the few Bayern players to come out of the Bavarian derby against Nürnberg with much credit. He was on hand in the first half to save well from both Saenko and Koller, and helped keep the deficit to just one goal at a time when Nürnberg were looking particularly dangerous.

Defenders:

(2) Jacques Abardonado (Nürnberg)

Nürnberg’s French defender had a highly impressive game against Bayern coping well with both Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose. Was confident in the air against Toni and marshalled those around him well and together with Andreas Wolf very nearly kept Bayern goalless.

(3) Valerien Ismael (Hannover)

The ex-Bayern defender showed exactly why the Bavarians rated him so highly and exhibited signs of the kind of form he is capable of against Stuttgart. Mario Gomez for once didn’t get on the score sheet and much credit for that goes to Ismael.

(4) Mathieu Delpierre (Stuttgart)

The Swabian centre back led by example on Sunday against Hannover and made sure that Stuttgart were secure at the back against a side keen on causing an upset. The strikers for once were not firing on all cylinders, but Delpierre certainly did his bit by keeping the back door firmly bolted.

Midfielders:

(5) Tinga (Borussia Dortmund)

Another highly industrious display from the Brazilian midfielder in a match that saw six goals shared in a 3-3 draw. He never stopped running, but never tired throughout the 90 minutes. He even popped up in the second half to seal a point for Dortmund with the equaliser to make it 3-3.

(6) Marco Russ (Eintracht Frankfurt)

The Eintracht defensive midfielder earned the Man of the Match accolade for his performance against Bayer Leverkusen, which inspired a 2-0 win at the Bay-Arena. Was solid and reliable in both the middle of the pitch and also when drafted back into defence. His pressure on Kießling contributed to the Bayer striker’s own goal in the first half.

(7) Ervin Skela (Energie Cottbus)

Skela was the match-winner for Cottbus in the Eastern derby against Hertha Berlin with his two goals. He curled in a superb direct free kick just before half time to get Energie back in the game, before he grabbed the winner midway through the second half from the penalty spot.

(8) Zvejezdan Misimovic (Nürnberg)

Yet again he was Nürnberg’s best player on show and kept up his sparkling form of late. The Bosnian’s creativity and running was at the centre of a very good first half attacking display against Bayern. He well directed long shot had Oliver Kahn well beaten and could well have proved the winning goal for ‘der Klub’ only for Lukas Podolski to rescue Bayern.

(9) Christoph Dabrowski (Bochum)

Despite lasting only 35 minutes, Bochum midfielder Dabrowski played like a man possessed for the opening to the first half and Dortmund just couldn’t cope and we glad to see the back of him when he had to go off with a serious facial injury. He grabbed the opening goal in a six-goal thriller as early as the third minute, heading in an Azaough cross.

Forwards:

(10) Lukas Podolski (Bayern Munich)

After his words of complaint earlier in the week when he said he was sick and tired of sitting on the Bayern subs bench, Podolski responded in the perfect way with a sweet finish to rescue a point for a largely disappointing Bayern Munich. With Miroslav Klose continuing to suffer a goal drought in the Bundesliga, how long before Poldi is given a chance to prove himself from the start?

(11) Benjamin Auer (Bochum)

The Bochum striker grabbed two goals in the six-goal thriller with Dortmund to take his season’s tally to five in ten games. A double first half strike both with his right foot looked to have given the home side an important three points, but BVB fought back well to seal a point.

Honourable mentions:

As always there are a number of players, who deserve a special mention despite having not made it into the final XI. Jaromir Blazek was called into the Nürnberg goal as a late replacement for the ill Daniel Klewer and performed admirably. Stefan Wächter was again on top form for Hansa Rostock between the sticks and was unlucky to finish on the losing side against Wolfsburg.

Christian Gentner and Alex Laas deserve a mention for Wolfsburg as they beat Rostock with a late, late goal. Iulian Filipescu of Duisburg performed superbly in defence as the Zebras beat Werder at the Weser Stadion.

Karlsruhe had the better of the game against Schalke, but were kept at bay by Manuel Neuer and Jose Bordon in particular. Sotitios Kyrgiakos was a rock for Frankfurt away at Leverkusen, while Sami Khedira impressed for Stuttgart against Hannover as did Jiri Stajner in the same game.

Team of the Week.

.................Adler

Castro Mertesacker Demichelis

Zé Roberto Rolfes Borowski Baumann

.......Klasnic Toni Bartels

Goalkeeper:

(1) Rene Adler (Bayer Leverkusen)

The Leverkusen shot stopper was on top form against Stuttgart denying them with two fantastic saves. An amazing save from Hilbert and another superb stop from Cacau went a long way to securing the win. The home side ended up 3-0 winners, but the basis of that was the goalkeeping display from Adler.

Defenders:

(2) Gonzalo Castro (Bayer Leverkusen)

Full back Gonzalo Castro put in a fine performance against Stuttgart helping the Werkself to a well-deserved victory. Solid at the back and ever-dangerous going forward, Castro has been a consistent performer all season and will hope to continue this form for Germany in the summer at Euro 2008.

(3) Martin Demichelis (Bayern Munich)

Even though all the headlines will be about the ruthless attacking game of Bayern Munich, we shouldn’t lose sight of the superb defensive performance of Argentine Martin Demichelis. He dealt was calm, composed and fully in control at the back for Bayern.

(4) Per Mertesacker (Werder Bremen)

Werder’s international centre back was at his commanding best on Saturday against Schalke. Despite what the score line suggests, Schalke were all over Werder in the opening 15 minutes but Mertesacker was solid throughout.

Midfielders:

(5) Simon Rolfes (Bayer Leverkusen)

Rolfes was the two-goal hero against Stuttgart to help seal a potentially vital three points. The midfielder opened the scoring just before half time and sealed the win late on with Leverkusen’s third of the afternoon.

(6) Zé Roberto (Bayern Munich)

If Bayern are thinking about spending any money in the summer they would do well to splash out the euros on a player who could step into Zé Roberto’s boots when he leaves at the end of next season. Against Dortmund on Sunday he was superb, and will be very difficult to replace.

(7) Frank Baumann (Werder Bremen)

The Werder captain had one of his best games of the season against Schalke as the Green and Whites recorded one of their best results of the season. He started the scoring rout on 19 minutes against the run of play to start Werder on their way to a very impressive win.

(8) Tim Borowski (Werder Bremen)

Alongside Baumann, Tim Borowski showed just why Bayern Munich have snapped him up for next season. A fine midfield display saw him create two of Werder’s five goals and show dynamism all afternoon against a combative Schalke midfield.

Forwards:

(9) Fin Bartels (Hansa Rostock)

Each of this week’s ‘Team of the Week’ strikers scored a brace at the weekend, but Rostock forward Fin Bartels is probably one player that will surprise many with his inclusion. His two-goal haul away at Karlsruhe could well prove to be crucial in Hansa’s bid to stay up this season.

(10) Ivan Klasnic (Werder Bremen)

With a new contract at Werder still up in the air, Klasnic sent out a message to any potential suitors that he can still bag the goals against the best teams in the Bundesliga. Coming on as a second half substitute, the Croatian quickly got himself into the game and took his season’s tally to five in ten games.

(11) Luca Toni (Bayern Munich)

The superlatives are running out for Luca Toni this season; suffice to say that he grabbed his 17th and 18th goals of the season. He has to be the best striker in Europe right now and has more than justified the huge transfer fee Bayern laid out for him last summer. Superb.

Honourable mentions:

Those that played well but didn’t quite make it into this week’s Team of the Week included the rest of the Bayern Munich team after the crushing defeat of Dortmund. Tim Wiese and Diego are also worthy of a special mention for their displays against Schalke.

Markus Miller of Karlsruhe and Robert Enke of Hannover both put in fine goalkeeping displays. Lukas Sinkiewicz impressed in midfield for Bayer Leverkusen, while Adam Bodzek also deserves a mention for Duisburg.

Bayern Munich sahasinda Werder Bremen'e 5-0 maglup durumda, macta 70.dakika civari. Herhalde Bayern tarihinde boyle dramantik soncular cok fazla olmuyordur. Werder daha atabilir.
