The Blues' new sporting director Frank Arnesen has been busy scouting (CHELSEA'NIN BU SEZONKI EN BUYUK TRANSFERIDIR) in recent weeks and he was a very interested spectator at the World Under-17 Championship in Peru.
He was very impressed with Borussia Dortmund's Turkish sensation Nuri Sahin - and reports from Germany even suggested a bid had been lodged, although that has since been denied.
Now, it is believed that 17-year-olds John Goossens and Jeffrey Sarpong (pictured) - rated by many as the Dutch's best prospects at their level - had also caught the eye of Arnesen.
Sources in Holland have now stated that agent Soren Lerby has been approached by fellow countryman and former international team-mate Arnesen, about a potential double deal.
Ajax are not happy at all as they realise there is little they can do should Chelsea mount a serious move for the duo, as they are not officially contracted to them.
Chelsea now know that for just €300,000 each, Goossens and Sarpong could be on their way to Stamford Bridge.
"We are thinking about what we can do," Ajax director Arnie van Eijden bemoaned.
"You would think a player's agent would think more about a club like Ajax.
"For us, it is just impossible to give all youth players a contract."
Sarpong and Goossens are yet to comment on the link to Chelsea, although the former has previously stated a desire to move to London, albeit with Arsenal!
"My favourite club is Arsenal," said Sarpong.
"I love the English game because it's so fast and direct. But I also like to watch Barcelona play."
However, Goossens recently stated his idol was Arjen Robben and he could soon get the chance to play with him.
NURI SAHIN KONUSUNDA,

Borussia Dortmund have denied that Chelsea are the latest Premiership giant to launch a bid for their prized starlet Nuri Sahin.
The hugely talented midfielder, who has just turned 17, is already a member of Borussia's first team after coming through the club's youth system.
Sahin has just returned home from the World Under-17 Championship in Peru - where he helped his native Turkey to fourth place and again he impressed.
A host of clubs were already aware of Sahin's abilities - and Arsenal had a bid turned down for him in August.
The Gunners have kept abreast of his progress, while Manchester United and Chelsea are believed to have stepped up their interest - although a reported bid from The Blues has been denied.
It was claimed in the German press that Chelsea's new sporting director Frank Arnesen personally scouted Sahin, during a trip to the youth championship in South America, and he instructed the club to make a move.
"So far we haven't received an offer yet," declared Hans-Joachim Watzke, Dortmund's managing director.
"He is our future and will soon take the Bundesliga in storm, we don't really plan to sell him."
Sahin, who is expected to make his full international debut this weekend as Turkey face Germany, is contracted at the Westfalenstadion until 2009.
Despite Watzke's stance - Dortmund are still in financial trouble and they may find it difficult to continue fending off the strong interest.
